Not only is she our number one shopper and inventory guru, but she also packs the bags of coats on a regular basis, for our volunteers to deliver. On Monday mornings you can more often than not, find her in the warehouse filling orders for the school deliveries that week. The time that she devotes to Coat-A-Kid is priceless and we are so grateful to have her as a leader on the Coat-A-Kid volunteer team.
Every now and then we have an issue with a coat- a broken zipper, a missing button, a small tear- and Liz enlists the help of her aunt in Tennessee to repair the problem, instead of marking the coat out of inventory as damaged. When visiting her family in Tennessee and transporting our damaged coats for repair, Liz has been known to stop at stores along the way to purchase coats, hats and gloves.
Oh, and did I mention that she also helps coat kids on a regular basis? Yea, she does that, too.
Her kindness, caring and selflessness is inspiring. We truly could not function as smoothly as we do without the absolute selfless devotion that Liz has given to Coat-A-Kid over the years. Thank you, Liz.
